Meet Sandy Tomey

“I’m really happy with my decision to join RCI. Even though I’ve been coaching singles for years, the exercises and programs are saving me mountains of time. I just started the couples training and really like my lab group and training circle. It is wonderful to have the RCI “Done for You” resources for my business, I have been needing them for a long time! My only regret is that I did not join you sooner! Thanks for putting together such a wonderful organization!”

Here at Relationship Coaching Institute you can be confident that you are getting solid training from the industry pioneer and leader that will empower you to be a successful, credible professional coach. - “Done for You” Marketing Campaigns
We’ve invested hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to provide our members with professionally designed, customizable marketing materials, promotional seminars, workshops, etc. to make it easy for you to get clients and promote your services and programs. - Business Mentoring and Support
Most new coaches fail because after their training they struggle to build their business on their own, get stuck, and don’t get the support they need. Here at RCI we are committed to your success and provide you support and mentoring from successful relationship coaches who can guide you to be a successful relationship coach. - Community
As coaches we usually work alone, and even if we participate in coaching industry events and associations, we benefit most from sharing fellowship, support and resources with other coaches who share our passion for relationships. RCI is the only community for coaches who specialize in relationship coaching and many of our members have developed friendships, profitable partnerships, and joint ventures with like-minded RCI members. - Professional Development
When you graduate your training your professional development is just beginning, and RCI is the only coach training organization providing advanced professional development programs to help our members become leaders in their industry and communities. Our unique Mentors and Trainers Leadership Program provides the opportunity for RCI members to build their confidence and skills to become leaders, mentors and trainers within the coaching industry.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I take live training or will self-study work for me?
We truly believe a solid foundation is critical to becoming a professional coach. At minimum, you'll want to have a solid foundational live training that covers coaching core competencies. Self-study courses may be all you need for advanced courses, but they are not “training,” which involves live mentoring and supervised practice.
Our self study courses can be very effective for the busy, self disciplined, successful coach who wants to expand into relationship coaching.
I’ve been a coach for 3 years, but still don’t make any money. How can you help me?
Most new coaches fail because they’re trying to figure out how to build their business without the support and guidance of experienced mentors. Just as you can’t learn a whole new profession by yourself, you can’t build a brand new successful by yourself. We want our clients to hire us to get the support they need to be successful, and we need support as well.
Here at RCI we provide all the support and mentoring you need to be successful, let us help you!
I know how to coach but don’t have confidence in my coaching skills. How can you help me?
When you graduate your training your professional development is just beginning, but most coach training programs fall short in helping you become a skilled, confident, well paid professional coach who gets results for their clients. This is where our membership system shines as we continue to support you after your training and provide many ways to practice your skills and develop the confidence you need to be successful.
It’s too time consuming to create materials to use for marketing and with my clients. What do you have available for me to use?
We’ve been developing marketing content and relationship coaching programs for more than 20 years and have assembled a vast resource bank of customizable “done for you” marketing campaigns, presentations, webinars, seminars, workshops, classes, coaching program complete with workbooks, and more.
Can I use RCI training towards my ICF certification?
YES! You can use RCI live training towards your ICF certification. Although you can use self-study courses towards your RCI Singles or Couples Coach certifications, self-study courses do NOT apply towards ICF certification.
I already took a coach training – where do I start my training with RCI?
There are COUNTLESS Numbers of organization who provide "coach training". Since the profession isn't regulated there isn't one definitive definition of professional coaching, the program you took may or not provide you the foundation of coaching that aligns with our definition and not give you the foundation needed for our advanced programs.
If you are already an ICF certified coach:
you have the option of taking our Professional Coaching Foundations training as a refresher or an begin right away with our advanced training for coaching Singles or Couples.
If you aren't an ICF certified coach, but took a foundational coach training elsewhere:
you have the option of taking our Professional Coaching Foundations training as a refresher or take our coach placement test to determine if you have the foundation to begin right away with our advanced training for coaching Singles or Couples.
I’m a coach, but never took a live coach training
Coaching is an unregulated profession and anyone can call themselves a coach. Professional Coaching as its evolved today is a distinct helping profession requiring specialized training. In our 20+ years of providing coach training and meeting many who use the title of coach without training, none of them understand or practice professional coaching as recognized by ICF or any other credible coaching organization. Typically, these self-styled coaches are practicing some form of consulting and calling it coaching, which is OK, but not the same and not nearly as effective. If you're reading this you must see value in training to become a professional coach, so THANK YOU and WELCOME!
Meet Laura Menze, MBA PCC

“Although I was a Certified Professional Life Coach through another very well known coaching school, I was lost. I didn’t have a niche and I didn’t have any support, tools, or materials, such as workshops, worksheets, or programs to offer my clients. I was creating them all by myself and I was frustrated and floundering. When I discovered RCI and their programs, it completely changed my life as a human being, a coach, and a business owner. I now had the training, support, and materials I needed to enroll clients and in a way that I could truly afford! I also had a niche that completely resonated with my soul! The materials are amazing and so is the support to help you build your business… and this is coming from someone who already had an MBA. RCI has everything in place to help you be a successful coach and run a successful business that truly resonates with your soul and pays the bills!”
