and are ready to learn how to coach singles to be successful in finding

interested. 10. NEW DIRECTOR OF COUPLES PROGRAMS; I am excited to announce that Linda Marshall has accepted the position of Director Of Couples Programs for RelationshipCoachingInstitute! Linda brings an extraordinary amount of passion, dedication, warmth, and talent for coaching couples, and was hands-down my first choice for this position. She will be responsible for training and mentoring our coaches in helping couples, designing and implementing training and educational programs for coaching couples (such as our Level I and Level II couples coaching trainings, the Conscious Relating teleclasses, etc), as well leading our monthly Couples Coaching SIG. I am in the process of wrapping up the Attraction stage with three people- when I met with them, I asked them to come to my present RESTS class to speak on the benefits of Attraction Stage and Ann's comment was (with no prompting, I might add) "To me, the Attraction stage is the most important." I sit beautifically by my sign, smiling at all who pass, offering myself in tranquil service. I have been getting plenty of sun and fresh air there and having some of the most amazing conversations of my life. I am already on my way to celebrity-hood, as when I stroll that same loop, several people already recognize me and sweetly say, "Hey you're the Answer man!". One free-lance shot my picture and is trying to sell an article on me to the Seattle P-I!" ***Awesome! That has to be the most creative and fun marketing activity I've ever heard of! And you read it here first! CONGRATS TO Laurie Cameron (Englewood, CO) who writes: "One of my "100 Things" was to be featured in the Relationship section of one of the major Denver papers. I can cross it off the list today! The Rocky Mountain News ran an article about how singles can celebrate the holidays amidst all the pressure and expectations in a couples culture. I was interviewed for the article a few weeks ago, after sending 4 press releases to this particular reporter throughout the year. CONGRATS TO Brenda Strausz (Southfield, MI) who writes: "I had my first on the phone one to one coaching session today. It went really well--I had so much fun! It helpful to read over the Singles Workbook and the Professional Manual." CONGRATS TO David Bentley (Friday Harbor, WA) who writes: "A participant in a workshop sent me a copy of her annual newsletter to friends and relatives. She mentions that many friends and relatives have inquired about her love life." Then she states: "I gave some serious thought to my marital status this summer, and took
a workshop that helped me examine just exactly what I want out of life
and what kind of person I might like to share it with me. It was a useful
exercise, and I recommend it to anyone who is between partners just now.
It's called Life Partner Quest, and is available from personal coaches
around the country." Our coaches are certainly committed and talented! It is my honor to be part of this community that is making such a difference in the lives and relationships of others. Relationship Coaching Technology 10 ELEMENTS OF ATTRACTION COACHING Attraction coaching is the second of the "5 Stages Of Relationship Coaching":
When you are single and would like to find your Life Partner, you first need to prepare in some way, to set yourself up for success; this is the "Readiness" stage. When you are "ready", then your goal is to find the person who will eventually become your life partner, which is an enormous journey full of challenges. I call this stage "Attraction", to highlight the importance of who you are in determining who you bring into your life. Our relationships tend to mirror who we are on the inside, and regardless of what we say we want, we will generally "attract" a partner that reflects who we are and where we are at in our life. I like Laurie Cameron's attraction metaphor of drawing our Life Partner to us like a "magnet", instead of trying to use a "grappling hook"! Here is my latest version of the "10 Elements Of Attraction Coaching". This conceptual tool for relationship coaches is a work-in-progress, and you will note overlap with the "10 Elements Of A Successful Life Partner Quest", which is directed at singles (www ConsciousDating.org/members/element.htm).
I hope these 10 elements gives you a blueprint for coaching your clients through the Attraction stage. As mentioned in the "Announcements" section above, we will offer a free training to RCI Coaches that will cover HOW to coach each of the above elements. This training is being provided as part of our commitment to include the training and support you need to coach singles in your enrollment as a RelationshipCoachingInstitute Relationship Coach, and as with the initial 8 week RESTS training, will be offered regularly in the future. Please join us! ATTRACTION COACHING IN YOUR PRACTICE
By David Steele In last month's article "Relationship Classes As A Practice Builder", I wrote: "I strongly believe in the need for a comprehensive business model and marketing system such as the above to draw potential clients to you, get them in your pipeline, build a relationship with them, and provide a spectrum of services to meet their needs at different points in their life." As a relationship professional, your single clients need attraction coaching; how will you deliver it? How can you market attraction coaching to attract clients? In your business model, attraction coaching should have a prominent place in your pipeline or spectrum of services. Singles want solutions and answers, which is provided in our Relationship Success Training For Singles (RESTS) Program. Once they realize that the solutions are not quick fixes, they become motivated to get help and support, which is why the RESTS program is an excellent practice builder- it attracts potential clients, gives them what they want and need, and motivates them to engage coaching. As stated in the previous article, Coaching Teams are the optimum service delivery vehicle for Attraction Coaching. Most singles become excited when they learn about Attraction Coaching Teams, as the idea of having a committed group of men and women supporting you in your relationship journey makes a lot of sense, and as many singles are much too isolated, this gives them the social support that they need to be successful. As a step in the pipeline, attraction coaching is a logical and necessary follow-up to readiness coaching. We find that at least half of the graduates of the RESTS program will join a coaching team if offered the opportunity. A percentage that do not join coaching teams return for pre-commitment coaching when they meet someone they are considering for a Life Partnership, the next step in the pipeline. An Attraction Coaching Team is a safe place for a single person to try on new behaviors, get feedback and support, learn from the experiences of others, learn from and about the opposite sex, and have a close group of both men and women to share the journey of life and relationships at a time in their life when they are between partners. I encourage you to think of your practice as a continuum of services to address your clients' needs in all stages of their journey to having a fulfilling Life Partnership. If you prefer working with couples, consider helping your future couples by offering coaching for singles. If you currently work with singles, consider getting training and support to coach them when they become a couple. If you are not yet a RelationshipCoachingInstitute Relationship Coach, please consider joining us so you can better serve your clients. If you are already a RCI Coach offering the RESTS program, be sure to follow it up with Attraction Coaching, and consider taking our training in February. Your clients count on you for the support they need to be successful in their relationship goals. You can count on us for the tools, technology, training and support you need to help your clients.
